Project Overview
I led end-to-end site design for www.littlenook.ca, a fishing/outdoor e-commerce brand, building a mobile-first experience on WordPress + WooCommerce. Work included a clearer IA and product taxonomy (species/technique/season), faceted filtering, conversion-focused PLP/PDP templates, consistent imagery standards, and a modular UI library. Performance was tightened with WebP, lazy loading, and caching/CDN on Hostinger, with light on-page SEO fundamentals to support growth—resulting in faster pages, cleaner navigation, and a more confident path to checkout.

The system uses Impact Regular for a bold, utilitarian feel and a simple colour palette of deep forest green, cream, and white to reflect an outdoor, tackle-focused brand.
Project Strategy.
Built to modern e-commerce conventions—mobile-first grid, generous whitespace, and scannable type. Deep forest green anchors the brand and signals the outdoor category across header, CTAs, and badges. Discovery is streamlined with prominent search, category entry, faceted filters, and 1:1 product cards with quick-add and clear price/stock. Lightweight assets and restrained micro-interactions keep the experience fast, clean, and conversion-focused.

I designed and built a two-part email set for Little Nook: a Welcome email for new subscribers and a seasonal “Mystery Box” promotion. The layout emphasizes clear hierarchy, large CTAs, and brand consistency across dark/wood/green themes.
After a structured on-page SEO refresh—focused on keyword alignment, title/meta optimization, content hierarchy, and image alt text—the site delivered a clear uplift in search efficiency and visibility. Over the last 7 days, it achieved 65 clicks from 216 impressions with a 9.3% CTR, while the average position improved to 31.5. Compared to the previous baseline (4.1% CTR and 35.3 average position), this represents a meaningful CTR increase and an improvement of roughly 3.8 positions, indicating stronger relevance in search results and higher-quality organic traffic.
